The boxes are packed. The condo is cleaned. The new tenant has the keys. I’ve done my taxes, written my will, and said about a hundred goodbyes.

And now we’re going. In an hour, Lindsie and I will be on a Lufthansa flight out of Vancouver International Airport, bound for Frankfurt, then Singapore… and about a day and a half from now, Bangkok.

It’s been a long journey up to this point, and I have about a million thank-yous to say. And only an hour before my flight leaves… so here’s a brief honour roll.

Thank you mom and Neil for the food, the truck, and the crawlspace.

Thank you Dan and Rose
for the food and comfort and for finding a safe haven for our beloved couch.

Thank you Dennis for helping my mom get our crap out of the truck.

Thank you Ric and Christina for the goodbye dinner.

Thank you Colleen and Ernie and Jon and Scott and Keith for the goodbye drinks and good fellowship.

Thank you Viola for the comfort stuff to take on the plane with us.

Thank you to all our friends and family and former coworkers for all your love and friendship and support and suggestions, and for helping us get where we are right now. We couldn’t have done it without you.

Talk soon.
